Mystic Ireland.
A yoga & creative writing
journey with Cole Chance & Victoria Erickson

July 21 - July 28, 2019

“Ireland is a land of poets and legends, of dreamers and rebels. All of these have music woven through and around them.Tunes for dancing or for weeping, for battle, or for love.”
~Nora Roberts

We so thrilled to be curating a seven night retreat this summer, in Ballyfad, Wexford, Ireland.  We will be nestled in a quiet mountain valley made up of equal parts beauty and serenity -a stunning feast for the senses, and gathering with the earth.
To us, the word mystical means to inspire a sense of mystery, awe, and fascination.  This week has been created to be an evocative journey into the mystical landscape...inside and out.

The retreat combines creative writing, yoga, and relaxation + exploration of  spirit.   We will gather to connect, share stories, play in the ethereal scenery, reclaim inner and outward movement to renew our bodies and minds, and remember who we are at the very core.

Our home for the week is an enchanted renovated barn called Monalea dating back to the 1770’s with both east coast beaches and indigenous oak forest nearby. There are many beautiful woodland and hill walks in the area where we can wander, daydream, take photos, and find inspiration.  It is a mindfully tended, warm space embodying sweetness and tranquility in a natural setting for contemplation and creation.
What is included:

-Meeting at from the jaw dropping Trinity College Library located in the heart of Dublin. We will have transport from the Arklow train station to the Monalea, located at the Wexford/Wicklow border, our home for the week.

-Seven nights at the gorgeous Monalea Barn and adjacent farmhouse that has been named one of the top airbnbs in all of Ireland. It has a large open air fireplace, two big round tables, a space to fit 30 yoga mats, and stone walls that become atmospheric at night, where we can light candles in the many little alcoves.

-A week’s worth of healthy, vibrant vegetarian food to nourish you from the inside.

-An excursion to the exquisitely fantastical gothic Johnstown Castle and Gardens in Wexford These gardens are a diverse and peaceful secluded haven.

-An excursion to the gorgeous Wicklow Mountains National Park and valley town of Glendalough.

-An excursion to the nearby Tobair Patrick Beach, with high dunes looking out to the Irish Sea.

-Two yoga classes per day led by Cole Chance, a 500 RYT teacher, Thai Bodywork Therapist, and international retreat leader who deeply believes in exploring the relationship to self in order to find both freedom and wholeness -on & off the mat.

-Two writing workshops per day, led by author, writing coach and international workshop/retreat leader Victoria Erickson who believes in writing as alchemy, ceremonial gathering, and an ongoing invitation to go deeper into the body and imagination to tell our truths, stories, and ultimately reach our highest creative potential both on and off the page.
